Land management infrastructure

Effective land management depends on the right infrastructure in the right place. We deliver natural flood management schemes, structural bridges, boardwalks and fencing across some of Wales' most challenging terrain — in remote upland, designated and live agricultural settings.

Technical competence, practical understanding

Agricultural and public access bridge

Agricultural & Public Access Bridge · Natural Resources Wales

River Restoration Framework Bridge

Owen Environmental delivered to specification the design and installation of an agricultural and public right of way bridge for Natural Resources Wales, under the River Restoration Framework and an NEC4 Engineering & Construction Contract. The structure accommodates pedestrians, livestock and ATV use within a rural and environmentally sensitive setting.

  • Structural competence, disciplined programme control and full compliance with NRW governance requirements
  • Proactive stakeholder engagement with adjoining landowners, agricultural users and PRoW users
  • Structured communication ensuring continuity of access, livestock management planning and clear sequencing of temporary restrictions
Boardwalk at Coedgarth Gell

Boardwalk · RSPB

Mawddach Estuary, Coedgarth Gell

Owen Environmental were appointed by the RSPB to construct an approximately 80-metre boardwalk within Coedgarth Gell, a woodland and heathland nature reserve set within the Mawddach Estuary SSSI. The boardwalk improves safe access through wet and boggy ground while safeguarding internationally important habitats and species.

  • Durable, low-impact access across wet ground, supporting conservation management and visitor safety
  • Ecological awareness, stakeholder management and disciplined on-site delivery in a highly sensitive habitat
Aberdyfi Jetty refurbishment

Timber Jetty Deck Refurbishment · Cyngor Gwynedd

Aberdyfi, Dyfi Estuary

Owen Environmental was appointed by Cyngor Gwynedd to refurbish the timber decking of Aberdyfi Jetty — a live, publicly used marine structure and much-loved local landmark on the Dyfi Estuary. The works addressed localised rot, loss of section and trip hazards across the deck, retaining and reusing serviceable timber wherever possible.

  • Delivered around the continuous public use of the structure
  • Meticulous planning and strict pollution prevention within one of Wales' most heavily designated marine environments
  • Bridge section and West Arm successfully refurbished with close stakeholder coordination throughout
