Home / Services / Environmental & Habitat Works
Specialist works for conservation organisations, statutory bodies and land managers — construction within internationally designated sites, coastal and beach management, and habitat restoration, all delivered under our UKAS-accredited ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Selected Projects

Natural Flood Management Scheme
Installation of 7 leaky timber dams in an ordinary watercourse, 27 contour fences on sloping ground and ~30m of gully stuffing on a Gwynedd local wildlife site (acid grassland / dwarf shrub heath / flush habitats).

Hydro Weir Refurbishment
Refurbishment of an existing hydro weir within a live hydraulic environment, including 900mm intake-valve interventions requiring confined-space operations.

Bank Stabilisation & River Restoration · Natural Resources Wales
Appointed by Natural Resources Wales under their Nature & Climate Emergencies Programme to deliver a two-package river restoration scheme across two adjoining agricultural sites.

Reservoir Dam & Splash Plate
Controlled drawdown of the reservoir, followed by the removal and disposal of the existing dam structure.
Coastal & Beach Management
Location: Barmouth, Gwynedd · Programme: Annual sand clearance, 2018–2021
Every year, the wind delivers thousands of tonnes of sand onto Barmouth's seafront. From 2018 to 2021, we delivered it back — moving approximately 10,000 tonnes each year to bring the beach down to its managed level and keep the sand where it belongs.
Excavators and articulated dumpers working on open sand, around the tides and a busy public seafront — a very different landscape to our upland work, held to exactly the same standard.
